So Much Fun!!!

Today while I was browsing my favorite graphics blog I was inspired to get into Photoshop and create this digital valentine and a desktop image for my computer.

Thanks to Karen at the Graphics Fairy for the wonderful flowers and amazing images, also another thanks to Katrina at Pugly Pixel for the great doily, velum envelope and other amazing downloads. You ladies are so awesome I can't wait to get in and create some other fun stuff!

Have a wonderful day!

Mike Wazowski!

Happy Saturday! I have a silly post for you today, I recently received the Best of Pixar cartridge and was just dieing to make Mike.
This was the first time I've ever cut a Disney image and from everything I've ever seen I knew to cut it very large because of all the details. I think I cut Mike at like 11 inches and even then there were still so many itty bitty pieces. I really like how he turned out!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

It's our turn now

Yes, the blog looks a little different today, maybe you were "lucky" enough to be watching while I tried to make a decision. Ha ha ha ha! Shabby Blogs has updated their images and my beloved blog background was sadly retired, moment of silence please. I really don't want to change the other elements of our little blog so I picked this one, the jury is still out though. Let me know what you think! Oh and yes, I have been crafting all weekend, just no pictures at the moment.
Thanks for stopping by!

Fun 6 x 6 Mini Albums

Hi crafters! The last few days I've been busy, busy, busy. At the monthly crop this past Saturday I made my first pre-made mini album. It was so much fun doing a little book where I didn't have to decide what pictures to put in it and where they should go. I made this first one a Valentine's Day theme because we all know I'm a Valentine addict.  The paper was a stack from My Mind's Eye called "Love Nest," I've been drooling over this collection for a few months now. Isn't it just so tweet???!!! The love bird, scalloped circle and rectangles  are from Cindy Loo, the heart with wings is from Create a Critter, and the scalloped ovals are from Sentimentals.

Sunday and Monday I worked on a recipe mini album (I actually made two at the same time.) I am so happy with how they turned out! This time I used a 6 x 6 mini pad of paper from Basic Grey called Nook and Pantry, such cute paper!!! Some of the solid paper in the book is from Core'dinations and some other Basic Grey paper I already had.  I decided this mini should have a recipe card on one side and an area for a picture on the opposite page. I used Cindy Loo, From My Kitchen, Nifty Fifties, and Sentimentals on this book. I wanted the recipe cards to be on a little tabbed divider, so I added the recipe cards to the dividers with some tiny clothes pins I had laying around. I designed the recipe cards myself in Word and just printed them out on white card stock. I went a little crazy with these books, I just couldn't stop myself! I sewed the edges all the pocket pages. The title on the cover is one I made a while ago on Chloe. I've been dieing to make this retro oven and saying.

Hope you like! I had so much fun making this minis! I think I'm going to work on our family books for a while now and then make two sister mini's for my neices....shhhhh...don't tell them! :)

Have a very blessed day!

My new adventure

Hi everyone and Happy New Year!!! I hope 2011 is a blessed and happy year for everyone here!

Some friends and fellow scrappers have been telling me I need to open an Esty shop to sell my handmade American Girl doll dress and other fun things. So I finally decided to do it last week! I really love making doll dresses (NOT Barbie!) so I thought it would be a fun outlet for my crafty sewing side. I went a little crazy at the fabric store the other day (with my mom's help of course!) We decided to make some cute vintage inspired aprons as well. I just finished a mother-daughter set last night and I must say they are soooo cute! Hopefully tomorrow I can get some pictures. Anyhow without further adieu...we're open for business and other craziness! There is now a link to the shop on the top left hand corner of our blog if you care to check it out. I've only listed two doll dresses for now and I'm going to keep it pretty simple because quite honestly, I'm missing my paper crafting madness. Listen! Do you hear it? It's my Cricut Love Bug calling to me....  :)

Here's a couple pics of some dresses in case your like me and you don't want to go clicking around all over the place to see some pictures....
This one reminds me of Dorthy in the Wizard of Oz

This one screams Fourth of July picnic and Valentine's Day...

I've also made a few others over the past few weeks but don't have pictures of them all. Susan's daughters got the first two for Christmas and later she will take pictures of them for us to share.

Hope you all had a fantastic day!
