A Baker's Dozen

I wanted to share some cards Susan just finished up. She coached the little girls Upwards cheerleading team at her church this past winter and wanted to send each of her girls a special card. She made each little paperdoll look like the real girl! I curled a bunch of yarn for her to make their pom-poms with. Susan put so much work into theses cards and I think they are super adorable!!!! (I'm not just sayin that because she's my BFF!) Didn't she do a fantastic job?!!! She stickled over each girl's name so they are very glittery and fun.
She of course used Every Day Paper Dolls for the girls and Lyrical Letters for their names.

And now to make the baker's dozen complete, here's a thank you card I made yesterday. I actually made two, I was having a very indecisive day for sure!
The bunch of flowers is from Kate's ABC and was cut out with pages from a book of Shakespeare's works.(quick! who can tell me what tragedy I used????)  I hand dyed each layer with my alcohol inks because I knew I didn't have that many coordinating shades of pink. The thank you is from Cindy Loo. I decorated the inside of the card with a small orange flower and a bow made from my ribbon seam binding-would've shown this, but the pic turned out horrible!

Hope you all have a fantastic and blessed day!

My First Fall Card-EVER!

My mom asked me to make her friend a birthday card. Of course I said "yes!" enthusastically. Now for the challenge, make it with a pumpkin and fall colors. I haven't done many fall layouts, never mind a fall themed card. I was thinking this would be a huge challenge, but over the course of a few hours it all just came together, don't you just love it when that happens?!

(notice the kitty peeking over the table? He thought I was taking pictures of HIM!)

Card base and layer was cut using Sentimentals. Pumpkin and leaves were cut with Every Day Paper Dolls. Envelope was cut with Cindy Loo. All were sized with Design Studio. I cuddlebuged the card layer, pumpkin and leaves, then brushed them with my Perfect Pearls Metalic powders. I'm really happy with how the card turned out and my mom was thrilled, so mission accomplished! Now it's off to figure out how to make a Halo (X-Box) themed card for my son's birthday.....hmmm.....

Hope you are having a great week!

Happy Sunday

I am so glad last week is over and we are on to a new week! Thankfully my daughter is done with college for a couple of months, maybe now I can use my car more often! Here are some pictures from the projects I worked on this past week...
This first one is a set of "just because" cards I made to send a dear friend who adores pandas...

this is a birthday card for my Sister-in-law. I decided to try something new by using the flower vine border...
and finally, here's a little fishing sign I made to go on a layout, I really like how the inking turned out...
There is more information about the cartridges used on these projects and others in our Gallery.
Thankfully the two people I'm sending the cards to don't know about our blog yet, so they won't see these yet!
I Hope everyone has a great week! It's Provocraft's "Hello Thursday" this week, so I'll be back later in the week with all the new releases.
