Something Special

No crafty pictures to show today. I did make a cute vinyl label for my mom's Christmas tub 'o goodies today, but no picture. Instead I wanted to share my lovely treasure with you.

My mom just moved in with us here in Texas. She came all the way from Northern Western Washington. Along with her she brought her prized antique china cupboard and the Old Country Roses china she inherited from her mother. She has now passed it on to me and I am soooo excited! I adore the china and the cupboard. For years we've been trying to figure out how to get the china down here to Texas, now that she moved here, problem solved. What a great way to end a very crazy week. Her trailer arrived here on Thursday and we've been moving and sorting stuff ever since, we're all beat and glad that is done. Now I finally have my red dining room and the china that looks amazing to go with it! Yeah! Thank you mom!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

My First Fall Card-EVER!

My mom asked me to make her friend a birthday card. Of course I said "yes!" enthusastically. Now for the challenge, make it with a pumpkin and fall colors. I haven't done many fall layouts, never mind a fall themed card. I was thinking this would be a huge challenge, but over the course of a few hours it all just came together, don't you just love it when that happens?!

(notice the kitty peeking over the table? He thought I was taking pictures of HIM!)

Card base and layer was cut using Sentimentals. Pumpkin and leaves were cut with Every Day Paper Dolls. Envelope was cut with Cindy Loo. All were sized with Design Studio. I cuddlebuged the card layer, pumpkin and leaves, then brushed them with my Perfect Pearls Metalic powders. I'm really happy with how the card turned out and my mom was thrilled, so mission accomplished! Now it's off to figure out how to make a Halo (X-Box) themed card for my son's birthday.....hmmm.....

Hope you are having a great week!

One Cool Guy

I followed directions from Capadia's blog for the easel card and tweaked it to fit what I wanted to do. I didn't worry about making this card a standard size because I didn't need to mail it. The penguin and background for the 50 are from Create A Critter. The 50 and "one cool guy" were made in Design Studio with the font from Robotz. I actually reverse cut the words and put a lighter piece of card stock behind them.

Happy Birthday Sweetie!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Beautiful Butterfly

I tell you once Susan gets rolling making cards, there is no stopping her! Here is another gorgeous card she made yesterday for her Amish cousin. The sentiment is a stamp Susan purchase from her cousin's stamp store. The butterfly is from Give A Hoot. Don't you just love the beads and wire work, this girl is so creative!

Have a great day!

peek-a-boo

Susan created this very adorable Miss You card for her sister today. Isn't it just the cutest thing ever?!!! I love how she adds wire to her cards, it just adds that something extra. I just want to hug that bunny too! All the cuts were made with Give A Hoot

Thanks for looking! Have a great weekend!
