My very dear, sweet son made me home made waffles for breakfast on Mother's Day this year. My daughter would have helped too, but she had to work all day. Here's a layout I made with the pictures of Michael hard at work in the kitchen...
I know the title is a little hard to read in this picture, it says "Mom's Personal Chef." I used Storybook font for the Mom's and Lyrical Letters for the other words. I decided that because this layout was about Mother's Day, I should make it girlie and use my favorite color...RED! I really like how my little flowers turned out, I used small Primas and added the adorable red fabric covered brads from Hobby Lobby. Paper is from Hobby Lobby as well, gotta love that place! Thank you again Michael for the wonderful breakfast! Love you!
Hope you are having a wonderful day!

Where did my babies go???
So I was just looking through the scrapbooks from when my kids were little....I was trying to find a date for something (didn't find it!) In the mean time I ended up getting emotional. All the memories, all the cute things they would do, all the good friends, and our family too (who we now live over 2,000 miles away from.) I want my babies back! Those of you with little ones, cherish it, it goes so fast! Thankfully our kids still are both at home with us and will be for a few more years (although we've told our son he can never move out!) So I will hold on to the time we have together and cherish every moment! Go hug your kids!
Hope you are having a great weekend!

I'm So Excited!
After months, and months, and months.....of trying I finally figured out how to edit and make my own animated images in Photoshop Elements 8! Here's the first project I finished. I didn't create the clock, but I added the words to it. It may not seem like much, but trust me when I say this is a huge accomplishment for me!
This was made as a logo for the 1 hour daily challenge on the Cricut message board. My new friend, Kathy, started this group so that every evening we could all meet up and talk about our daily projects. It's a wonderful supportive little group! She and I worked on this logo together.
Have a great day! I'll be back soon to post pictures for Hello Thursday!

My First Word Book
Boy that title sounds like I'm just learning to read or something! I am working on making my first mini album which happens to be a word book as well. I decided to do the word love, as I adore making love type stuff. This is just the start of my book. I decided to use paper from one of my Basic Grey paper pads, I am so in love with this paper! I cut the base of the book pages out of cereal boxes. This is my first time ever cutting cardboard w/ my Cricut. I've got to say the Shredded Wheat box cut much easier than the Honey Bunches box, go figure that one out~
Don't you just love the little "love birds?!" I do. They make me smile every time I look at them! They are complete with green crystal eyes that sparkle so pretty. I also glittered the white part of their faces and the pink wings.
Of course I had to add the sweet kitty to this book. Somewhere on this page or the one opposite it, it will have "smitten kitten." She's got green sparkly eyes and a pearl necklace too!
I've been waiting to make this bird house and doesn't it go great with the birdie paper behind it? I think one of the pages might say "love nest" or something like that.
I am having so much fun with this book. I can't wait to finish it!
Here's my bit 'o wisdom for the weekend....make sure when you are buying crystals and you want to hot fix them, read the packages carefully! I bought mine in a hurry and 2 of the 4 packages I got were NOT heat set and I didn't figure that out until too late. I will still use them, it will just be harder because they are so small.
Hope you all have a great evening!

More Projects Brought To You By the Color RED!
Here are the other projects I did over the weekend and yesterday.
My daughter's favorite color right now is red (boy I've trained her right!) This is the gift card holder I made her, using Cindy Loo. The gift card was one of the big selling points for me when I finally decided to get this cart. The front of the card is decorated with flourishes cut from the same cartridge.
This is the little flower pot holder ??? from Cindy Loo as well. I made it to hold some cash we gave DD. She asked this morning, "Why didn't you just put the cash in a card like everyone else?" (Teasing me of course!)
I responded by telling her she has a crafty momma and that's just not possible! :) I really adore this little holder and can't wait to make many, many more! Oh, I also used Design Studio to weld the square doily from Cindy Loo on to the front, I really love how this looks!
Finally, last but not least, here is a tool box card I made for my dad's birthday next week. He is a former mechanic and all around handy guy. When I saw this toolbox cut on the Handy Man Lite cartridge I instantly thought of Dad. Again I made this one in design studio. I thought it was going to be such a quick card, but my original paper sections did not agree and there was much tearing of paper, not good! This just reinforced another one of my "golden rules" of crafting. Do NOT try to cut paper you already know does not like you! Enough said!
Well that is a wrap up of all my birthday madness for the past week (not to mention the color red!) I think I'm good for a bit now.
Oh, and here's another bit 'o wisdom from me to you....don't put pictures of gifts or cards on your blog if the recipient is a follower! :) My daughter is a follower to this blog, but I didn't think she ever really looked at it. When I gave her they typewriter card today she admitted she had seen it on the blog already! OOOOPS!! Live and learn!
See you all soon,

Shaped Kitty Birthday Card
Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a great day yesterday!
This is the kitty card I made for dd to send her grandma for her birthday. Her birthday is today and she lives in WA state, so sadly it will not arrive on time . We tried! Anyhooo....Grandma loves purple and kitties so I figured it would be fun to try my hand at a kitty shaped card. Of course I had to use the one from Cindy Loo. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and I know Grandma will adore it, which is all that matters. I made a matching envelope to go with this card as well. I LOVE the cute one on the Cindy Loo cart! ANNNND I was able to cut it on a 12 x 12 paper!!!! YEAH!!!
I ordered my new "toy" on Saturday and I sure wish I would have been able to use it on this card! What toy am I talking about? Well none other than the I-Rock heat setting tool. It is so hard attaching all these little sparkly goodies with just my fingers. Yes, I've tried using tweezers, but I'm no good at that either. Ohhhhh I see lots of sparkly adventures in my near future!

Happy 4th!
Hello my friends! Just wanted to wish you a
I am so thankful to live in this country where we have freedom. I will never take for granted what our freedom cost and the people who are and were courageous enough to fight for this!
Happy 4th!
Hope everyone of you has great day! Here in our neighborhood at dusk, everyone gets on their riding lawn mowers, ATVs...and drives around our streets (it forms a great big loop). It's so fun to watch. We live far enough out in the county that it is also legal to do fireworks, so we get quite the show. It's a pretty great time for all! I am so thankful to live in this country where we have freedom. I will never take for granted what our freedom cost and the people who are and were courageous enough to fight for this!
God Bless America!
Adorable vintage photo is from Karen at the Graphics Fairy-Thank you!

Title Page I did for my Friend
Hi all! I still have more cards to post that I finished yesterday...I'll do that soon. In the mean time I wanted to share the title page I just made for my friend Kimberly. She has asked to to replicate some pages I did for my family album and this is one of them. I love it when the project has already been designed-no decisions to make! Anyhoooo, Kimberly and her family live on a wonderful ranch here in TX and they've named it R Cinco Ranch. I used SCAL for the words at the bottom of the page. Punch is from Martha Stewart.
Have a wonderful day!

A Shaped Birthday Card (I sure hope my daughter isn't looking!)
Happy Almost 4th of July Everyone!!!!
I recently got Cricut's Design Studio. It took a little messing around but I think I've got it mostly figured out now. Here is my first try and a shaped card. This typewriter represents my beloved daughter's old typewriter which she has lovingly named "Eleanor." It was so great being able to size the cuts and layers in DS, any size I wanted! Yes, I know the card is rather large, but that's ok. At least I don't have to mail it. Now I'm off to make a kitty shaped card for said daughter to send her grandma, for her b-day is just one day before daughter's.
The typewriter, paper, and letters are from Doodletype. The circles for the keys are from George.
Have a great day!
